My questions are:
1) Why does this keep happening?
a. Consider that in 2008 Planned Parenthood had a similar mistake happen.
b. How many times does it need to happen to be no longer a ‘mistake’ and we question their
2) I believe that liberalism/progressivism/Democrats are inherently good and caring people. Is it that natural inclination to be caring that is somehow warpped their decision making ability when confronted with this sort of Evil? Are they being dupped into thinking they are ‘helping’ these children/young teenage girls by allowing some man to abuse them?
3) Can we have this dialog without it going to the abortion issue? I’d like the discussion to be about LiveAction/Planned Parenthood/ACORN and the acceptance of underage sex workers.
A Planned Parenthood manager in New Jersey coaches a man and a woman posing as sex traffickers how to secure secret abortions, STD testing, and contraception for their female underage sex slaves, and make their whole operation “look as legit as possible” in an undercover video released this morning.
Clinic manager Amy Woodruff, LPN, of Planned Parenthood Central New Jersey’s Perth Amboy center, warns the pimp and his prostitute to have their trafficked underage girls lie about their age to avoid mandatory reporting laws, promising, “even if they lie, just say, ‘Oh he's the same age as me, 15,’…it's just that mainly 14 and under we have to, doesn't matter if their partner's the same age, younger, whatever, 14 and under we have to report.” She says, “For the most part, we want as little information as possible.”
“If they're minors, put down that they're students. Yeah, just kind of play along that they’re students--we want to make it look as legit as possible.”
“This proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that Planned Parenthood intentionally breaks state and federal laws and covers up the abuse of the young girls it claims to serve,” said Lila Rose, President of Live Action

Planned Parenthood fired Amy Woodruff the manager. Is that enough? Shouldn't strong policies be put in place so this doesn't happen again?
This isn't Planned Parenthoods first time offense against children
The Mona Lisa Project videos document Planned Parenthood's willingness to repeatedly violate mandatory reporting laws for statutory rape that protect children.

The similarity of these scandals bothers me a lot. Where are these liberal groups failing to train their employees/managers!? What policies and procedures are missing that would allow the ACORN manager or the Planned Parenthood manager to think that discussing child prostitution rings with a man would ever be okay? I've been in middle management for a long time now and after a few years you just become indoctrinated into the Corporate policy. I find myself towing the line all the time. Why aren't these managers doing the same? I know in my heart of hears that ACORN and Planned Parenthood don’t officially condone this sort of EVIL. Why is Live Action repeatedly able to find those individuals who are in charge (that’s important. They are the leaders not just some flunkies) who’d help out such a sick bastard.
ACORN’s focus was housing and not nearly as well funded as Planned Parenthood ($374.7 million 2008). They have the revenue to train better. They should not be making this sort of grievous and awful mistake. Especially after 2008. Fool me once shame on you...fool me twice...loss of funding?

Date: 2/2/11 19:57 (UTC)"These multi-state visits from men claiming to be engaged in sex trafficking of minors may be a hoax," Cecile Richards, president of Planned Parenthood, wrote in a letter to Attorney General Eric Holder last week. "However, if the representations made by this man are true," she wrote, they indicate violations of several sex trafficking, prostitution and child sex laws.
A spokeswoman for Planned Parenthood would not reveal the identity of the man, or men, who visited the clinics. The group does, however, suspect he has ties to Live Action, the pro-life, anti-Planned Parenthood group run by O'Keefe associate Lila Rose.

it sounds ilke their only motivation to notify Eric Holder was because they thought it was Live Action doing this.
Would they do this if they didn't think it was a sting? In 2008 they didn't.

Date: 2/2/11 19:24 (UTC)Because you work for a corporation, and it has competitors. Nothing you do has significant moral impact on how the world works. They have a mission, they have evil enemies, and those evil enemies have shaped those laws that you think protect underage people deliberately in ways that they think interfere with, rather than protecting them. Some of those individuals think it is a holy mission to do the good work (make sure STD testing, contraception, and abortion are available) in the face of laws, such as reporting requirements, that may have other virtues, but ultimately, interfere with those good and essential works. To that person, helping the sex traffickers is unfortunate collateral damage in service to the important part: helping the minors.
Besides, we do not know that Planned Parenthood would not have reported. We know what one person said in an interview. So we do not know that the faux "sex traffickers" would actually have been helped in any way.

If an adult male is taking advantage of a female minor (AKA a child) is this helping or allowing the predator to continue preying on children?

Although you didn't seem to think it important to mention.
What really is unknown is what was said in the unedited version of the video.
Also, it strikes me as funny, when it comes to the subject of entrapment, as this clearly is, that people don't realize that staff in organizations dealing with victims of various kinds, often play along so as to be able to keep contact with both victims and possible violators. If you stand up and huff and puff and say THAT'S WRONG, a real pimp or pedophile would never show their face there again and the trace would disappear.

And some conservatives are just too willing to blindly believe those lies.

1) Should the agency throw the person out allowing that person to go back underground and continue to commit those acts?
2) Should the agency play along in order to gain as much information as possible that would allow the criminal to be prosecuted and the children rescued?
(no subject)
Date: 2/2/11 21:10 (UTC)1-a) if this was their policy or plan why did they fire Amy?
2) ACORN was not playing along to the best of my knowledge. Planned Parent hood has a record of helping adult males prey on children. They have this record by not reporting the adult male who is molesting the minor that PP is 'helping'. PP also has been known to circumvent parent notification laws.
I like your spin on the story though. It is far less ugly than PP's desire to protect pimps and child molestors.

Well, well. That says it all, doesn't this? I'm sorry, but I don't trust the video at all. James O'Keefe and his associates, which obviously includes Miss Lila Rose, are known for lying and falsification of documents and video.
If there are any shenanigans going on at Planned Parenthood, I'll believe it when the FBI or someone else a little more reputable than plotting to drunk up a CNN correspondent and do the date-rape to perform a 'sting' (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/James_O%27Keefe#CNN_correspondent_incident). Which I also note Miss Lila Rose was involved in. Cute.

Date: 3/2/11 18:51 (UTC)Planned Parenthoods lack of ethics when it comes to child rape and abuse of children is well documented
http://www.provitaadvisors.com/archive/PROVITA0309.pdf
This is not the first sting. The fact that they continue to fall for these stings tells me that there is a training crisis among their staff or a ethical concern regarding how they conduct their business
"Planned Parenthood is even arguing that it is unconstitutionalto report child rape because it invades a minor’s privacy."
"In Cincinnati, Planned Parenthood has been accused of covering up
the sexual abuse of a teenage girl by her father. Ohio law requires
professionals such as doctors, nurses, and teachers to report alleged
sexual abuse. According to the 2007 lawsuit against Planned
Parenthood, the teenager claims she was sexually abused by her father
for another 18 months because Planned Parenthood failed to report the
incest. After telling someone else about the incest, the girl’s father was
prosecuted and sentenced to five years in prison."
In a second case involving Planned Parenthood of Southwest Ohio
in Cincinnati, a 14-year old girl was impregnated by her 22-year
old soccer coach. He then took her to Planned Parenthood for an
abortion. The soccer coach signed-off on the abortion saying he was
her step-brother. The girl’s parents were neither notified nor gave
their consent for the abortion.
I'm not concerned by this organizations 'lying' the same way I'm not concerned when a police officer pretends to be a little girl to catch a child molestor or tries to buy drugs to catch a drug dealer.
