The Associated Press reports that three Republicans -- Hal Rogers of Kentucky and Mike Pence and Dan Burton of Indiana -- will win a trip to Washington, D.C., to serve in the 112th Congress. All were overwhelming favorites, but Republicans are up 3-0 so far.

A lot of things to be happy about! New Hampshire, Florida, Missouri, Arkansas and Ohio (and maybe Pennsylvania) look to swing Republican, which bodes well for 2012 and beyond.

At this point if Reid is to lose it may be a huge victory for the GOP but I think they've already done significant damage to the Dems even if Reid holds on. Feingold and Grayson were two of the few vocal progressives left among the Democrats and their loss will probably push them further to the right.

It'll probably last about as long. When the Tea Party fails to cut the deficit by any significant amount they'll lose their base and expose themselves for the flash in the pan that they are. Unless the economy recovers but then chances are Obama will be reelected as well.

I'm glad the GOP took control of the House. Now they'll really have to grow up and take some responsibility instead of being the party of No.

Alas, those eleeteests in the Senate will now block every noble incentive that comes from the good old party. Damn eleeteests...

Oh well, never mind. Reform can wait for 2 more years, when they elect Palin to finally take the country Back. What could possibly go wrong?

The last time this happened, the House went on a Clinton impeachment witchhunt and spent their off-hours introducing legislation that didn't have a snowball's chance in hell of passing the Senate or being signed into law. I'm guessing something similar for this group of even more reactionary do-nothings.

I voted against prop 19, the pot-decriminalization act, mainly because it was poorly written and this denial needs to be addressed federally.

Voted against Meg "I'll swallow your soul!" Whitman.

Well, time for the GOP to step up and state how repealing health care reform, being the party of No, decreasing tax revenue and unequivocally supporting Wall Street will result in better services while across the board leaving more money in peoples pockets, reduce the deficit, increase employment and decrease poverty. I'm waiting. It's their game now.
