My point is that he isn't going to do anything for gays, and so why we should have him be called the Anti-Christ by the Religious Right when he's giving them all they could ask for is beyond me.

Obama is all sorts of crap, and this is just another facet of it. Like any other politician (or most politicians, I should say) he misled the public completely during his election campaign. He portrayed himself as this far-left progressive reformist, and as it turns out, he's a relatively centrist spender who isn't changing much when it comes to the social reform agenda, and bugger anything on the "gay agenda." He's been a near-complete disappointment on that front.

Now, he may try to simply move this issue to next year or later in his term, but that's just wrong and idiotic. It's this sort of shit that's going to tarnish his image, and four years down the road the public will be quite disillusioned and frustrated with him. Of course, they'll simply choose another lying jackass, but it probably won't be the Obamessiah.
