Since as we all know, the only thing that matters to Christianity in our time is sex, and gay sex at that.

And here you have the White House officially encouraging gay rights discrimination. Ah, for the ability to believe in Obama's Commu-Oh, bad analogy, the Soviets were some of the worst persecutors of gays around-I mean, Oh for the the idiots who believe that Obama's a prog-Oh, bad analogy, the Progressives were eugenicists and racist. Let's try that one more time-Oh, for the ability to believe that Obama is in any way a social reformer, as I would sincerely love to believe it.

Obama's proven his Christian credentials by this to the Religious Right, surely? After all, the only thing it cares about is teh Ghey, right?

You're right because he supports one policy than we should assume every other thing in the world about him.

You know, it's sort of humorous for you to condemn people who call Obama a socialist and all that in the same breath that you make all sorts of assumptions about him based on this one thing.

No they don't, but you are making lots of claims for him not supporting one thing. He's not going to do ... *anything* for gays because he hasn't overturned don't ask don't tell yet?

You see why that sounds silly?

he's corporatist stooge who possibly believes women have the right to an abortion

this differentiates him from the republican party, which consists of corporatist stooges who don't believe women have the right to abortions

Eh he's got a lot of differences from Republicans but you're right he's not a liberal any more than any other mainstream democrat.

the only reason the republican party is so much more powerful and effective is because they've claimed and held onto this ridiculous manufactured moral high-ground that gives people the chance to vent their stupid prejudices and ideas about how other people "just ain't right"

there's a part of me that wanted to support mccain because i hate this country and i want it to suffer

turns out supporting obama got me to pretty much the same place with a clearer conscience
