Looking at the entries for the past couple of days (I have been away from LJ for a little while), I didn't see any posts with this video, and only one post about the bill.

I'm inclined to think this is a bad idea. How will attacking Google and YouTube solve the (dubious) problem of internet pirating? I don't think it's worth the potential negative consequences.

Thoughts on the video or the issue as a whole?

You have to click "Use old embed code" in youtube for the embed to work with livejournal.

I want people to be accurate. It makes it easier to solve problems if you accurately describe the problem.

Yes, because they're attacking piracy, not the Internet. They're just damaging the Internet in the process. It's the same reason why it's not useful to label every act of prejudice as racism when they aren't.
