“It was almost like listening to an old friend,” said Rep. Bobby Rush (D-Il.)

“In my household I told Castro he is known as the ultimate survivor,” Rush said.

Rep. Laura Richardson (D-Ca.) said Castro was receptive to President Obama’s message of turning the page in American foreign policy. "He listened. He said the exact same thing" about turning the page "as President Obama said," said Richardson. Richardson said Castro knew her name and district. "He looked right into my eyes and he said, 'How can we help? How can we help President Obama?'"

Castro said that the delegation had expressed to him that a segment of American society “continues to be racist,” and is at least partly to blame for the travel restrictions.

SO, why is it Democrats get so googly eyed when they talk with communists? They see them as brothers and victims of the same evil namely the USA. Even the communist party in the USA sound just like the Democrat party. BUT should you point out these things well then your speaking nonsense. So explain to why the Democrats went there and why they were falling all over themselves to praise Castro and his communist government?

So you *are* just Kirk's sockpuppet then. Right, now I know how best to treat you. Jury's still out on the stimulus package; say there Socky, what have the Republicans offered as an alternative? Hmm, let's see, they've offered "NO!!!," and they've offered... uhhhh... gimme a minute... oh yeah, they've offered the exact same thing we've been doing since 1980, tax cuts for the top 1% of earners and by the way, fuck everybody else. 'Cuz that's worked

Thanks to President Reagan, we know a lot more today, although it seems that many in Congress didn't get the memo. We know that tax cuts spur economic growth by improving incentives to work and invest and by making more money available for new ventures and small business, where the real job growth occurs in our economy. There are many examples of this in recent history, from the Kennedy tax cuts of 1962

I don't know when you were born or what your social/economic background is but having been born in the 70s and growing up poor. Trust the Regan tax cuts did more for the poor than any Democrtic socail program ever has.

Trust you?? But you have no basis in reality. Does Euclidean geometry even apply where you are? There is no valid argument to the fact - fact! That Republican tax cuts and insane spending have put us where we are right now. No valid argument. None.

And there has been no Democratic social program that ever - ever!!! Cost even a significant percentage of what Reagan/Bush tax cuts and insane amounts of military spending have cost. We could have funded SCHIP, the program the Republicans were all setting their hair on fire over a few months ago, fifty thousand times again on the money Bush signed over to the first part of TARP. So don't talk to me about the effectiveness of "Democrat" programs until the money spent on them even begins to approach the vastness of the black hole Reagan and the Bushes created.
