He said the exact same thing" about turning the page "as President Obama said," said Richardson. Richardson said Castro knew her name and district. "He looked right into my eyes and he said, 'How can we help? How can we help President Obama?'"
Castro said that the delegation had expressed to him that a segment of American society “continues to be racist,” and is at least partly to blame for the travel restrictions.
SO, why is it Democrats get so googly eyed when they talk with communists? They see them as brothers and victims of the same evil namely the USA. Even the communist party in the USA sound just like the Democrat party. BUT should you point out these things well then your speaking nonsense. So explain to why the Democrats went there and why they were falling all over themselves to praise Castro and his communist government?

I do know who Dan Rather is though. Cuban Elvis.... I think that statement.

Date: 14/4/09 14:40 (UTC)You take a select group of quotes that span DECADES and the in your response talk about DEMOCRATS. Newsflash for you, Sparky: The DemocratIC Party spans 10s of millions of your fellow Americans and 100s of our Congressional Representatives.
And the VAST VAST VAST majority of them recognize Castro as a murderer and a dictator. This ONE change in policy, which isn't even supported by all Democrats, is meant to allow AMERICANS to visit their families and help them.
So FUCK YOU for the comment I quoted above.
As for the entire body of quotes, got news for you: ASSHOLES make selections like those and misrpresent them. Look carefully at the Couric quote -- what else surrounds it? G-d only knows without more investigation, but it happens to be true -- Castro is known for his charisma, his fairly dangerous charisma at that. And it is true that Cuba has low infant mortalty and high literacy. Is she supposed to pepper the TWO SENTENCES with (but he's an asshole) every three words or can copy writers jot off a few facts in the process of getting the record out?

Those sort of word choices are not mistakes. Consider the interviews done with Castro and the commentary afterwards. I'm hard pressed to find any solid examples of News personel or Democratic Party Leaders condemming Castro.
Let's address the word charisma. This word is chosen when manipulative and persuasive would have been less endearing words. Do you see how ones choice of words are important. It reflects your feelings and thoughts
Kind of like your “FUCK YOU” comments. It further validates my belief that Democrats are angry people.
