First, I'd like ro take a liberty and congratulate local inhabitants, including the members of community's Politbureau.

Second, I am curious ro know - what right(s) are you missing right now, folks?
Be creative, try to take higher than picking up in your noses or other interestng places, touvarisches.
E.g., I am missing the right to legally have what I want to by free downloads, including but not limiting to, torrents et al. Yes, copyright legislation must be revised.

PTO Will the mod on duty put the tag 'survey' please?

Date: 10/12/10 22:40 (UTC)I've heard the response "my rights end where another persons begins", but doesn't that require communication and negotiation to establish? And doesn't that mean that the boundaries of natural rights are essentially arbitrary and subject to alteration based on who has the larger ambition and is the better negotiator?
The original qurstion was not about the freedom.

Re: Nothing.
Date: 11/12/10 11:38 (UTC)While you're still writing your post, there's a box at the bottom which says 'Tags' (http://pics.livejournal.com/htpcl/pic/000h7we1). When you start typing a tag, like, 'Surv.....', the 'Survey' tag will pop up and you can select it.
But even if you don't add any tag, you can post your,... post, and then press the 'Tags button' on top of your post (http://pics.livejournal.com/htpcl/pic/000h8ee5) to return to the Tags tool to add the tags. The list of tags will appear (http://pics.livejournal.com/htpcl/pic/000h9zyh), where you can select the already existing tags you want to add, then press 'Save' and you're done. I hope this helped.
Errrrrr... Nope.
Date: 11/12/10 13:07 (UTC)I am OVER this limit.
So I CANNOT add tags myself. Any. New.
At least until I clean up, which is too boring.
Did I manage to make it uderstandable?
Re: Errrrrr... Nope.
Date: 11/12/10 13:29 (UTC)This is a LJ community, and it has about 300 tags. So you can still use those. Besides, only mods can create new tags so you can use the existing ones.

You're actually not fixing,
Date: 11/12/10 08:43 (UTC)Stealing is hardly possible from thievs.
OK, I give you an example.
There's an artist and ge gives a show, say, in Japan and it's shown on local TV. Now, someone who loves him would like to have it on DVD, but the company, who has the artist signed up, would not release this show. It thinks the market is too small to bother after it and opts to do something that can be sold in million copies, not hundreds.
The TV channel itself is in daily entretainment busiess and not in musical publishing, so after beng aired once the show is forgotten.
Until someone does a TVRip and puts in on torrents.
What we have here is an artist (the originaal maker of music), who likes to have fans (and more copies sold too) but can't. We also have fans who can't legally get what they want., i.e. we have both the market for and the event itself - it's just been NOT productized - and its just a sad occasion that nobody gies a damn about it for some shitty blockhead in corp marketing with under 30K p.a. on PAYE did some calculations, right or wrong...
Hope this helps.
Re: You're actually not fixing,
Date: 11/12/10 13:13 (UTC)...because they signed a contract to abide by what their production company does with their material.
The fans are not entitled to get whatever they want.
I'm all for copyright reform, but until that happens, torrenting is stealing.
That is it.

Small shots are eaten by sharks with higher EBITDAs.
They even wouldn't put it on internet downloads, with sales administration costs close to zero.
