There is a rumor going around that you can reverse the images on the TSA Scans to get a clear naked picture... This is still a rumor (Hoax) but there are already people claiming this can be done (real or not, if the technology gets better, this could be our future).

With photo editing software on any computer (like Microsoft Paint), you can easily turn it into a very realistic, nude photograph.

When I first got an e-mail from some of my libertarian colleagues here in Nashville who discovered this, I was skeptical. I thought the “reversed image” made from the negative must have been photo-shopped. So I took the image from DrudgeReportArchives myself, pasted it into Microsoft Paint, clicked “Image” in the menu at the top, and clicked “Invert colors.”

How does that help us the war on terror? Not much since the scanners still fail to pick up other dangerous items (you know what works better than these porno machines? Trained dogs.) But hey, at least we get naked pictures for the low low price of our dignity (with the price tag of $39.7 million, minus the $4.3 million on lobbying spending)

I can also just stick someone's head on a naked body with photoshop if I really need pics of them naked.

The rumor, like those pictures, is complete bullshit.

I was wondering what the 'improvement' in search techniques would be; now I know.

You're not helping by acknowledging that the argument is a hoax and then presenting it anyway. The real images don't really look like the ones you've provided, but they're unacceptable to take and treat as the TSA has done, none the less.

So what we're saying is that this woman walked into the scanner naked?

Wearing only a belt and a pistol duct tapped to her ass. What? You don't travel that way?

I do but they generally find the gun long before I make it to the ticket counter.

The technology is obviously making the TSA agents lazy.

I used to see this technology on the back of comic books when I was a kid. They claimed to be X-ray glasses. Color X-rays will be used for whack off pictures? You'd think if this were possible it would have been used for medical purposes first.

It's very interesting to note.
Take away my right to unimpeded travel within my own country, OK.
Take away my right against unwarranted search and seizure, OK.
See me naked, OH MY GOD, THIS CAN'T STAND!

I want to know what the TSA is actually accomplishing here when they are only checking 20% of the people. If you want to protect EVERYONE and scan EVERYONE...so be it. But what is random spot checking hoping to accomplish? The odds of catching that person with the explosive gives them a good chance of not being in that 20%. The whole mess is just another way of humiliating people.

The theory behind random checking is that potential terrorists don't know whether they'll be among those checked so they decide to go into another line of work.

Ok, so does anyone know where I can buy Nipple Covers (http://www.onehanesplace.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product__10151_-1_11001_80354_13601) made of titanium? The machine can't penetrate titanium can it?
