Where's Waldo? And by that I mean, find the black people at Glen Beck's Rally.

It's a fun game and you can play it with all the photos I found on http://dc.about.com/od/protestsandrallies/ss/Glen-Beck-Rally-Pictures.htm

In case you need a clue, there is one gentleman in the upper left-center wearing a badge, presumably telling the white woman where to find the restroom.

You brought up the fact that the rally was held on the anniversary of MLK's speech, as though that was justification for sneering at a perceived lack of blacks at the rally. I was just making the logical connection. Whites are also free to share in and be inspired by MLK's dream.

the Conservative movement has fought Civil Rights and Civil Right Legislation every step of the way

Including the 13th and 15th Amendments? The Civil Rights Acts of 1866 and 1964?

They are... for example you dismissed his valid point
in order to make a false comparison between two ideologically different times for the same party.

That republican party has absolutely no relation to the Republican party of today, and certainly no relationship to the Tea Party that Beck fawns over.

"When have conservatives supported the Civil Rights movement? No, I don't mean those conservatives... nope, not those ones either... nope, keep looking..."

I guess the poster could have specified 'the conservative movement in its present form', but that would kind have been defeating the point.

no, it's simply unnecessary. You're talking about a political group from 150 years ago. It's simply not relevant. Furthermore there WAS no Civil Rights Movement in the 1860s. The Civil Rights Moments is generally known to have begun in the early 1960s. And during that time, majorities of b

Sixth grade social studies is ancient and world cultures. But if you'd rather insult my education than have an actual discussion, knock yourself out, chief.

it's funny, because I'm not talking about which senators voted for what or which representatives. I'm talking about the obvious and large dislike among the conservatives and republicans of this country in the 1960s for the Civil Rights movement, and you're bitching about me not having citations for it? Dood, look around. This whole post. You're fucking living it.
