I tell you, Democrats are going to quickly find they have jumped into the briar patch!

In a confrontational setting like that, he loses his communication skills. In fact, I don't think he has any skills without practice to begin with. This isn't just an opinion, it's evidenced by his stuttering, his verbal "fillers," his nervous gestures, his blank smiles and stupid chuckles... the list goes on. He has a hard time going "here's the issue, here's my opinion, and here's why my opinion is better for America than my opponent's." He wasn't able to do that.

Too bad that's far from the truth. I follow up on this.

The GOP did lose seats. But you said the Democrats beat them across the board. This includes statewide elections as well. The Republicans didn't drown in loss like people tend to portray. In fact, most of the losses were slim losses.

Let's see his approval ratings go up after he drives this country further into the ground and then kicks dirt over it.
The fact that a large part of his supportive base is run by people who know beans about him doesn't help his case. You're deluding yourself.

Okay, if you're so concerned about sources, cite yours. Come on, show me some evidence that suggests that McCain lost all three debates, that the Dems "beat the GOP across the board," and show me evidence for everything else you stated.

Concerning Speech: Again, the polls disagree with you.
http://www.cnn.com/ELECTION/2008/debates/ge/index.html

Look at polls, surveys and analysts for all 3 debates. McCain rated the loser in all 3. I guess if Obama won those debates, what did that say for McCain...

Gop losing seats: That was all over the news - if I need to apply a source then I assume you already dont know enough to have the talk.

Now you *can* split hairs on the State level - in that you may be right. But as far as Congress (where Legislation is made) is concerned it was a sweep. Where it was actually *important*.

Again - you can look at election results for that, so I dont need a source there.

and I already gave a source for the poll results.

Basically you arguing basic knowledge is suggesting you're splitting hairs, or you're questioning basic reality.

Your "source" is no longer available. Convenient, huh?

I've read up on several editorials with completely mixed opinions on the debates. More often than not I saw those agreeing with me that Obama has poor debating skills. Again, my little brother could have beaten him into the ground.

You seem to be avoiding the citation of your sources. Coincidentally, that's what I assumed would happen if I asked you for them.

You missed one of the citations above, because [livejournal.com profile] chessdev responded to himself/herself. But it's an msnbc link to a poll. When it comes to polls, I only trust Gallup. They're the full time polling professionals. Here's their link:

http://www.gallup.com/tag/The%2bPresidency.aspx

It shows Obama's ratings higher than ever. (It did dip for a few days, but it's back up again.)

Oops, I guess that was an overstatement. The (week old) Gallup poll puts him at 67% approval, two points down from his historical high.
