talkpoliticsWow. Pope Benedict's personal preacher Raniero Cantalamessa created a firestorm by comparing the scrutiny and pressure the Catholic Church has been experiencing lately in their molestation scandals to the "more shameful aspects of anti-Semitism."
This just further illustrates why the Roman Catholic Church will never take real steps to stop abuse. They aren't concerned with the children that are getting raped, they're only concerned with their own reputation. They see themselves as being wrongfully attacked, and never does it enter their minds that their actions (and lack thereof) contributed to what they are enduring now.
I hope the pressure never lets up but sooner or later the mainstream media will give up on it, only to flare up again down the road after more children have been raped, and the cycle will repeat again.
Pope Benedict, the only way this is going to end is if you take real steps towards stopping abuse. First of all stop protecting priests who molest children and treat it like the horrific sin (and crime) that it is. Throw them out of the Church and/or turn them in to law enforcement.
To help prevent this from happening as much you're going to have to allow priests to marry. Stop making excuses, stop covering up, and make a real effort to end this abuse.

There is no proof whatsoever that life can begin by itself. The largest problem with believing that there is no God is science cannot explain how we came to be, because it cannot get past how a chemical became alive.
The simplest single celled organism contains within its DNA enough information to fill the largest library in the world, believing that it is all accident takes a larger leap of faith than even I would make.
I have seen his effects on the lives of the people around, I have become a better person myself because of nothing more than reading his word Daily.
A majority of people, does not constitute truth, only that a majority of people can be wrong.
You see if there is nothing greater than man, the philosophical implications are enormous. We have no helper, we are truly alone. We are truly worth nothing, as man cannot give himself purpose. We are, all of us accidents, so there is no justification for doing anything other than what might make me happy, after all it doesn't matter if any other accident gets hurt.
If you examine the most recent developments in understanding our world at the smallest levels you uncover something called M theory, a branch of string theory, it states that "we only exist because strings move and therefore they have energy, energy and matter being one and the same, we perceive these string to make up matter because they we consist of the same thing. If they were to stop moving they would cease to exist." Now if that is true, then we don't exist, we only perceive that we do. Now that is some Faith
Where did everything come from? Not the big bang...before that?
Truthfuly, humanity is a depraved species, I call to example the Holodomor, Holocaust, Moa Se Tung. If there is no God there is no hope for either of our children to grow up in a good world
The ideals that sparked the safest nation in the world to live in(or at least it was that for many many years, were brought from the bible itself. If you doubt it, go look at the original texts.
Over the coarse of our conversations I have presented you with many philosophical arguments, more than I could go back and find. I will present you with only one more. A man convinced against his will is of the same opinion still. You are too stubborn to see anything I place before you. Gooday
