What moment will be remembered as the one that ensured victory? The fist pump after being shot? Serving fries at McDonald's? Or was it the orange vest show while driving the garbage truck?

How Donald Trump Pulled Off the Greatest Comeback in Political History

My thoughts: This race was never anything but 50/50. How is it the "greatest comeback in history"? I think Truman beating Dewey is still bigger.

From a European standpoint, I think this is a golden chance for Europe to finally realize it should own its own issues and hold its own fate in its hands, instead of always relying on the US to keep holding Europe by the hand. The next 4 years will be challenging but it's a chance to emancipate away from US hegemony, and Trump is sure to provide the conditions for that.

He wasn't shot.

The guy behind him actually died, yes, and I'd argue that that other guy was sacrificed to make the Vulgarian look heroic.

Couldn't help noticing how as soon as it started to look like Trump was going to win, the election denialism went very, very quiet.
People are so predictable.

Greatest comeback? Possibly.

Trump did somehow dissuade 15 million people that voted for Biden to just not show up this time.

FIFTEEN MILLION people that didn't switch to Trump, didn't switch to Stein, or RFK, or Oliver - one-time voters who weren't there for Obama, or Hillary, or Kamala - just Joe.

There are 3 possible explanations here:

- there was extensive voter fraud in 2020

- a large number (approximately a fifth) of Democrat voters are misogynists and racists

- this was the greatest comeback in political history
