Alrighty! Here's a survey for ya folks. Which is your fave TV series of all time? Actually let's make this a Top-5. The genre doesn't matter. How old the series is doesn't matter, either. Just rank your top 5!

Mine:

1. Battlestar Galactica
2. Lost
3. Fringe
4. Game of Thrones
5. Friends

Mash and Futurama are both good calls.

I almost went for Brideshead Revisited over Tinker Tailor...

I grew up in a period of really great telly. But even so, imho Attenborough fronts the greatest TV of all time.

Before the last two seasons of GoT first pace was a slam dunk.

Now... And not in any order:

Blue Planet
Monty Python’s Flying Circus
The Ascent of Man - Jacob Bronowski
Civilisation - Kenneth Clarke
Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy.

After the last two seasons of GoT it doesn’t make my top ten.

If we were doing a top ten Monty Python would be in my list.

And the interesting thing is David Attenborough, when head of BBC2, commissioned both Kenneth Clarke's "Civilisation" and Jacob Bronowski's "The Ascent of Man".

In all of the World's television, thanks in part to the BBC and his positions within the organisation, Sir David Attenborough has done more than anyone else. Ever.

He is like the Bradman of telly.

And the last two governments have trashed his legacy and destroyed the BBC's independence and journalistic integrity. Oops, did I say that aloud? Again?

[edit] Sir David also gave Monty Python the go-ahead when controller of BBC2.

I guess I gotta put Matlock up there (the guy in the picture).

Never really had a great cable package. I've had on-demand and Netflix for less than a month now, so still a little catching up to do.

House and golden girls are easy to settle on, and always an option because a few channels play them all day.

Never finished breaking bad, probably a good 3 or 4 seasons short on that, but I liked it - I'll finish it eventually.

Airplane repo is always entertaining. If you've never seen it, it's exactly what you're thinking it is.

As for new - on sunday nights theres a show where Ozzy watches ghost/alien videos from the internet and gives his thoughts on whether they're real or not.
