Does this ring a bell at all?  This is from the movie The Dictator starring Sasha Baron Cohen (Borat).  This is the speech he made at the end of the movie trying to justify a dictatorship for his mythical country.  He contrasts what America would be like as a dictatorship as opposed to the current democracy of the people.




Does this sound like anyplace we know?  The potential image of the America he describes sounds like USA circa 2008.  A while back there was a rant from Jeff Daniels in a clip from The Newsroom that was an attempt at ideological philosophy.  I believe this is more effectively done with biting satire when a piece of fiction is involved.

It would be interesting to see what the graph would look like normalized to demographics. For example, it shows the African American prison population at a level of about 0.6, but the overall African American population is much less than 0.6.
