For a laugh I went to Glenn Beck's page to look at some comments on the various articles about Obama's win. Here are some choice bits:

- Texas can show the US the path to prosperity by nullifying Obamacare, creating a silver-based currency, and preventing the EPA from operating in the state. Secede if necessary. Texas' secession is inevitable, so you should move to Texas if you don't support Obama.
- Obama can now put into effect his plan to let terrorists make further attacks here.
- When Obama said "This is my last election" to Medvedev, he meant that he is going to make himself a dictator so there will be no more elections.
- Unless God intervenes, America will be destroyed within the year.
- The fact that he was re-elected means that somehow Obama can now destroy America like he's always planned.
- The root of Obama's evil is when Satan created the Federal Reserve.
- Obama couldn't have lost because 100% of people receiving food stamps and unemployment voted for him.
- Sharia law is imminent.

I remember a lot of nonsense about Bush from some on the left when he was re-elected, but I don't remember if it was this bad.

Well, depends on whose watch the Yellowstone caldera goes up. It's due anytime now. But blaming it on the POTUS might be stretching responsibility just a trifle.

"Obama can now put into effect his plan to let terrorists make further attacks here."

I have yet to see these attacks... at least from the mooslims.

Oh, that's the cheaper option than JetBlue's proposal (http://talk-politics.livejournal.com/1572338.html)!

So supernatural powers = 303 electoral college votes? Very underwhelming powers those are. He must be the Aquaman of the Injustice League of Doomy Doom. ;)

Beck was a "shock jock" on Houston radio. He didn't have a clue what state politics were all about when he lived here, and he knows even less about Texas now.

Honestly, who cares about what the assclowns butthurt about losing the election have to say? It was annoying that people still won't let the 2000 election die, but with 2012 having 303 votes in the electoral college, we do not have 2000 repeating itself now. As far as I'm concerned after four years of being told a bunch of steaming piles of bullshit about Obama that miss 90% of what he's actually doing wrong, shade 5% of it very wrongly, and have no comprehension of 3% with 2% being the usual trolls just throwing a flaming bag of shit on the door, the next four years are going to be quite entertaining indeed.

It seems comparable to what I remember but I'm sure someone will take issue with my assesment.

In the mean time where are some choice words for my fellow conservative leaning folks

Liberals tend to have a higher level of aesthetic sense than conservatives. At least one of them credits the Republican invention of the Federal Reserve for what they see as Obama's negatives.

I don't know where these dipshits who think Texas is a haven for butthurt, Obama-haters live, but over 40% of the state voted for Obama. Romney won but it wasn't like the blow out in Oklahoma and some Southern states. I live in a conservative suburb of Austin and I didn't see a single Romney sign in the yards in my mostly white, often elderly neighborhood. So if yahoos wanna rush here to re-enact Red Dawn because a black man got re-elected, they best come heavily armed and completely drunk because they will experience push back from the locals, many of whom are Hispanic, young and/or female.

Secession is inevitable? Silver standard? What the hell? Even Texas' greatest conservative extremist loon, Texe Marrs, is drowned out by all us Central Texas liberals.

Yep, *exactly* like the first time some disgruntled Southern white people got butthurt over an election and left, they'd find out in a real big hurry that not all Southerners are so uncivilized.
