People are being pepper sprayed for consumerism, but we expected that, no?

I'm curious about those who attribute the recent murder at 14th and Broadway to Occupy Oakland. To what do you attribute todays shooting in Walmart's parking lot just several miles away? Black Friday? Christmas? Just another chronic shooting in Oakland? Side effect of OWS Black friday?

Sort of. People attributed the murder at 14th and Broadway earlier this month to Occupy Oakland, and the broader occupy movement.

I'd like those same people to now explain to whom they attribute this murder and why.

I see this as an inevitable result of the American fondness for solving problems by the use of violence - police use pepper spray and tasers so casually it leaks over to the armed civilian populace.

The Occupy Oakland killing was a drug deal/theft/turned shooting. But facts were not relevant and that killing was attributed to Occupy Oakland.

I am also seeing stuff on the internet expressing the argument of "OWS is now using unborn babies as a human shield"... As if this woman went there, expecting to be kicked in the stomach and be pepper-sprayed by the police, so she put herself in their way like a true martyr... to make the police look bad?

To be fair, we have no way of knowing yet what caused her miscarriage. We know none of the facts, including how far along she was. If it was still within the first trimester chances are very high for a spontaneous miscarriage, especially considering her living conditions (or lack thereof). if it was after the first trimester, it is more likely to be caused by the police actions, even though from what I've heard the fetus is remarkably well protected within the womb.

I am not defending AT ALL the police kicking a pregnant women in the stomach, or anyone, I'm just saying we shouldn't rush to judgment, just like I'm saying about the murder being blamed on OWS.

It most likely didn't happen as the girls own family doesn't believe it happened due to her history of lying and drug abuse. Coupled with the fact that the police have it on record that a few months ago she was 3 months pregnant and she's refusing to back up any of her medical claims.
