I watched this last night. Absolutely cool! "Dogs Decoded" reveals the science behind the remarkable bond between humans and their dogs and investigates new discoveries in genetics that are illuminating the origin of dogs — with surprising implications for the evolution of human culture. Other research is proving what dog lovers have suspected all along: Dogs have an uncanny ability to read and respond to human emotions. Humans, in turn, respond to dogs with the same hormone responsible for bonding mothers to their babies. How did this incredible relationship between humans and dogs come to be? And how can dogs, so closely related to fearsome wild wolves, behave so differently?

You can watch the entire episode online Here. (http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/nova/nature/dogs-decoded.html)

They used a short clip from Air's Cherry Blossom Girl (http://cdn1-21.projectplaylist.com/e1/v1_0_0/0qEMEAL9oJ9FthzZk3XutauanmRDC3cQeQdZKWv2hUCD8V_DodedLF3TPD6sMs0HDMRsXa-LPnSD0Bz36LOEEg==?e=1289714717&h=4df4a43dabdd9ce9e5152dfb04d63182). Like 2 seconds worth. :P

My chihuahua sure thinks he's a wolf. He tries to attack any other dog around, as long as he's on a leash. He's fine at the dog park off the leash.

No. Your dog, you pay.

I don't know if you've seen this yet, but the segment on domesticated foxes is frigging cool. They're just as dependent on humans as dogs, affectionate, love being part of a pack, etc. And the markings on them are absolutely beautiful with the light eye colors they have.
