Rupert Murdoch of News Corp (Fox News parent company) with the 2nd largest stock owner: Saudi Prince Al-Waleed bin Talal.

The opponents of the proposed Cordoba Initiative Islamic center planned for Lower Manhattan are fond of suggesting, by way of lengthy and often confusing chains of causation and association, that its principal planner, Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf, is connected to terrorism. Al-Waleed has directly funded Rauf's projects to the tune of more than $300,000. If Fox newscasters can darkly suggest "terror dollars" are sluicing into the Islamic center's coffers via "shady characters," then are Al-Waleed, and News Corp. leader Rupert Murdoch, by the same logic, also terror stooges?

Gee, why doesn't Fox News mention this connection, given their inclination to use highlighters and index cards to establish 'terrorist links"  ;)  Well  as Jon Stewart mentioned last night, Fox News will not mention that their 2nd largest owner's link because it wouldn't help their fear mongering narrative (or their ratings).

The best part was the clip with the cock-slobbering Neil Cavuto and Prince Al-Waleed.

You can if you get Sky.

However, that does give Roops money, so I can't advise it. :)

This clip from 2006 clearly shows that even Glenn Beck is allied with the evil Imam Rauf:

You act as if his ownership in Fox News is not well known among right-wingers.

So they're cool with it? Why don't they point out that link when they're trying to make all these other links?

Because they know 80 percent of their viewership, like all the rest of America, simply takes what the TV says and incorporates it into their knowledge base. And then later on that night they accost their co-workers or family with half-baked accusations about "terrorist funders", and everyone else just kind of stares in bafflement and an inability to respond. Until of course they go look for information themselves, but by then it is too late, everyone has gone home and you can't just bring up an old argument without seeming like a dick.

"takes what the TV says and incorporates it into their knowledge base"

This might be an oxymoron.

Ah, but don't you see, the Saudis are our *allies*. Like Israel, they never do any wrong and any groups in the Middle East that say they do are unevolved apelike Muslim extremists.

"The NATO charter clearly says that any attack on a NATO member shall be treated, by all members, as an attack against all. So that means that, if we attack Greenland, we'll be obligated to go to war against ... ourselves! Gee, that's scary. You really don't want to go to war with the United States. They're insane!"
