Although one third of the population suffers from motion sickness, scientists aren't exactly sure what causes it. Like the common cold, it's a seemingly simple problem that's still without a cure. I have this tactic whenever I'm in a car in the mountains and there are lots of bends. If you tilt your head against the direction of the bend (not allow it to swing with the momentum), you'd never get sick. Pro tip: the sharper the bend, the steeper you should tilt your head against it.

But reading something while being on the road with lots of bends? A big no-no.
