This year's 'most livable cities' list is out and there are some big changes from last year. Of particular note to me is that Canada, which has had 3 cites in the top 10 for years, was excluded from the top 10 this year as Vancouver, Toronto and Calgary fell off the list.

Here's the top 10 list:

1. Auckland, New Zealand
2. Osaka, Japan
3. Adelaide, Australia
4. Wellington, New Zealand
4. Tokyo, Japan
6. Perth, Australia
7. Zurich, Switzerland
8. Geneva, Switzerland
8. Melbourne, Australia
10. Brisbane, Australia

Here is the list on CNN.

Thanks for posting this. I've never been to New Zealand or Australia before, but there is a radio broadcaster I really like who has an online station based in NZ. Also, my sister and her husband went to Australia for their honeymoon and I'm going to ask them about the climate down under. They just purchased an electric Volkswagen which I got to ride in last weekend, and it is pretty awesome. More closer to home, my city in Illinois has a goal of going fully green by 2030. I'd have to say that we're well on our way towards achieving that goal but we still have work to do. My landlord and his crew just installed rain barrels out back, and we are in the process of starting an organic garden.
