The table is set, the feast prepared. Ready your sporks.

Tonight - the most important debate since the last, and until the next.

Trump vs. Biden, again - but with the added bonus of a mute button (which I'm cautiously optimistic about, although it could turn the debate into even more of a shit show than before).

48 minutes away. You know what to do.

Yep. I'll be watching Star Trek: Discovery tonight instead. If anything truly newsworthy happens at that debate, I'll read about it afterwards. My sanity depends on the delay.

Just watched some of the third debate. What a garbage pile.

Trump evaded just about everything concrete in terms of policy and plans, and spent the whole evening hurling ugly unsubstantiated lies at Biden.

He knew they were lies, clearly. It didn’t matter at all. What an absolute scumbag.

Me too. There were of course several interruptions by the Don, but the whole thing was rather tame when you consider the first presidential debate.

It's good to hear this debate went well and will be helpful for those folks who are somehow still undecided. I didn't watch it personally and have no plans to do so, but I do thank those who did and took notes so I don't have to. It sounds like Mr. Biden avoided painting himself with his own shit on camera, so I guess that means he won, yay!

Trump had lowered the bar so far on the previous debate that his performance last night can count as success, and that's something. Biden had a few populist moments that Trump did his best to expose. Biden could've challenged Trump's lying more vigorously. All in all, it's Trump who may've gained something from this debate, while Biden has shown that he has reached his limit of awesomeness. Still, I don't think this debate is going to change many people's minds.

The more I watch Biden, the more I'm convinced this race is going to be much closer than the polls suggest. It was clear from day one this election was not going to be about Trump vs Biden, but about For-Trump vs Against-Trump. Biden is a footnote. Biden doesn't impress. He's a shadow of what Obama used to be. And that's not good. I have a bad feeling about this.

I watched last night's debate in its entirety over at a neighbor's place. I'll only speak for myself here but I'm pretty sure he and I have the same opinion. He and I have become good conversation buddies over the years. But anyway, it seems that mute button was used and it worked. At one point Joe seemed to want the debate to end right then and there, since he made reference to the Don getting anxious. The Don of course told lie after lie after lie. I agree with those who say Joe had his best TV appearance yet. I'm unaware of any visuals since I only have light perception, so for me last night was just another opportunity to appreciate all the spoken dialog by the newscasters present at the debate. This includes the moderator.

"The NATO charter clearly says that any attack on a NATO member shall be treated, by all members, as an attack against all. So that means that, if we attack Greenland, we'll be obligated to go to war against ... ourselves! Gee, that's scary. You really don't want to go to war with the United States. They're insane!"
