There are six things the LORD hates, As even that are detestable to him:
Haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood,
A heart that devises wicked schemes, feet that are quick to rush into evil,
A false witness who pours out lies and a person who stirs up conflict in the community.

Christian pastor weeps as he prays for God to destroy Trump’s ‘enemies’

Let me see, Trump's worst enemy is himself, so I might get behind that idea of God destroying his enemies. :-)

Anyway; these are just words. There's nothing to worry about here. Trump supporters are not known for going out and being violent in the name of God... Sure, that one time... And that other time... And... Oh, I'm going to stop talking now.

Red hats, white hoods, it's all starting to look a bit familiar... A new era of racism and hate that’s mirroring the Jim Crow and civil rights era? Or I'm just imagining things?

You're not just imagining things. It's looking like a push to roll back the American civilizational clock back to at least 1850 ACE.

I had to watch this clip on my iPhone because it wouldn't play on my Mac with either screen reader. But I did watch it, and if this is truly the kind of stuff we're in for then that's pretty pathetic. I'm also going to play this for a neighbor of mine, who did not vote for the Donald either.

I have it from a practicing Pagan friend that many Pagans are doing rituals aimed at getting Trump out of office. But the smart ones aren't voicing their intent any more specifically than that. They're not telling the gods whether to strike him dead, send him a vision which scares him into resigning, or ... something else, perhaps something that the petitioners haven't even though of.

The general thinking behind this is that you know what you want, but the Universe is smarter than you are about the best way to bring it about.

Or at least, the best way to bring it about through magic: it would be different, I guess, if you were choosing a means which you planned on implementing yourself.

Thank you, I think. I'd be more sure if I knew what kind of "fascinating" you meant. If you meant that it's surprising, why is it?

From my profile (https://edelsont.dreamwidth.org/profile): "Spiritually, I am some combination of Quaker, Taoist, and pagan."

The friend to whom I referred in my comment has practiced Thelemic rituals (ceremonial magic) and Voodoo as well as Wicca.

"The NATO charter clearly says that any attack on a NATO member shall be treated, by all members, as an attack against all. So that means that, if we attack Greenland, we'll be obligated to go to war against ... ourselves! Gee, that's scary. You really don't want to go to war with the United States. They're insane!"
