Candidate Bernie Sanders should not release his medical records.
Candidate Mike Bloomberg should not release anyone from NDAs.
Candidate Donald Trump should not have released his tax returns.
The most important reason why they shouldn't, the one that outweighs every reason why they should - is they don't have to. 'But there should be a law!', yes - you could make that argument, but is there a law? No - can't make that one.
Second - none of the 3 have anything to gain from releasing said information. Worst case, it cost them votes. Best case, it doesn't cost them votes. I don't see gaining votes as a possibility, as it doesn't seem likely that there is anyone out there withholding their vote because they don't know these unknowns.
