How was the total eclipse? Did you enjoy it? Did you use precautions? Because your imbecile-in-chief did not:

Donald Trump mocked for looking directly at sun during solar eclipse - the funniest memes and tweets

Memes'n'tweets aside, what's stupid is stupid. He sure didn't trust the FakeNews(TM) to tell him what he should do. That, and he hates rules. So he looked. He didn't go blind though (this time literally), which may've disappointed some folks.

While we're about the eclipse,

You got the point. Oh, and also:

This, like all conspiracy theories, is built on one feeling: the desire to feel better than someone else, to stand above "the teeming masses" because you are "awake", you've figured everything out while the stupid sheeple can't even see "what's right in front of their faces". ALL conspiracy theories are born of insecurities and poor self-worth.

As is the drive to vote for the likes of Trump.

The larger problem with the "Flat Earth" folks and their anti-science brethren is that they tend to "just know" things because they scratched the surface of a topic and then ran with it. Real learning takes time and dedication. It's much easier to "just know" something because you spent a few hours on the internet instead of picking up a physics book and spend years learning. Instead of being constantly humbled by the fact that the more we learn, we realize the less we actually know, this sort of folks "just know". You know: truthiness. The essence of Trump's appeal to his base.

A good conspiracy can't be disproven - that's why I'm surprised this one has the following that it does.

If I believe in the chupacabra - it may seem crazy, but it can't be absolutely disproven. Believing in a flat earth though - they must also believe it ends at a certain place - they must have a map of the flat earth they go by...why can't they just pick a point on the edge and go take a look, and maybe get a few pictures for the doubters?

And why the hell is disproven underlined in red...have I believed in a fake word all this time?

It's only disproven if you're naïve enough to listen to scientists and other shills of the conspiracy... such as every airline pilot.
