Yet one more word-vomit from the mouth of the Donald. He suggested he could shoot someone in a crowded area and still keep voters, speaking at a rally in Iowa Saturday. As we might expect, multiple reporters, including ones from CNN and CBS, instantly picked up Trump's remarks.

The master of hyperbole does his thing again. And everyone gets worked up. Because he's so terrible, and they love to hate a terrible person. Shock value strategy at its best. Sure, sure, I know - it's just a remark made in jest, the lib media who totally lack a sense of humor now tripping themselves over it. Sheesh.

But you know what? Trump's saying something else here. He's essentially calling his own base stupid beyond repair. He calls them devoted to him, but what this really means is that they've relinquished their ability of critical thinking. What his metaphor is saying is that he could do and say whatever he wants, and those drones would still keep supporting him. They'll applaud him, cheer for him, make their kids sing songs for him, and believe he's the only guy who can save America and make it great again.

But who will save America from itself, once he gets elected? And, does it really deserve saving?

No, Trump has not lost his mind. He has figured he could be the right guy at the right time, seeing how divided and disillusioned people are with the current state of affairs, and how incompetent and inept they think the current political establishment is (including the president). It's the perfect time for Dear Leaders to emerge on their demagogue high horse, and save the day. And I do mean just the day, because that's all their capacity allows them to do. They can't rule, but they sure can win elections.

Dear Leader knows the peasants love him and will do whatever he asks of them, as long as he plays tough, and spits out exactly the things they want to be fed. So brace yourselves. In this perfect brave new future of Trump's, there'll be more statues of Dear Leader across the USA than there were statues of Lenin in the USSR, and more kids singing praise to Dear Leader the way kids around the world have done about countless Dear Leaders throughout the ages. He has learned his lesson from the dictator textbooks well, hasn't he?

The GOP leadership has created a monster by inaction and default. Now they don't know what to do about him. They've brought this upon themselves, and they absolutely, completely deserve their current predicament.

That said, anything this guy says is comedy gold. Perhaps he should have a TV show of his own or something. Oh wait...

Did he suggested it or was he quoting someone?

...They say I have the most loyal people -- did you ever see that? -- where I could stand in the middle of Fifth Avenue and shoot somebody, and I wouldn't lose any voters, Okay? It's like incredible.

The phrasing was a bit disjointed. It's a pretty odd and rather egomaniacal boast regardless.

He's paraphrasing the poll results, here's the video (http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/video/donald-trump-shoot-losing-votes-36474929).

So yeah, said that "My people are so smart" and then clarifies that it's the kind of "smart" that would support someone regardless of what they do. You know, the mindless kind of smart that doesn't know when it's being insulted.

At first, I was like WTF?

Then, I remembered that Cheney did shoot somebody in the face, make them apologize for it, and it did nothing to his approval numbers.

And that worked so well for him in the end, didn't it.

He's the perfect American president.

I think the GOP was counting on him eventually saying something so ridiculous that it sunk his campaign.

It really wasn't a bad plan A - at one point it seemed like a certainty. It might be time to look into a plan B though.

Why would he want to sell himself if he's got all that wealth already?

Well, there is always more wealth.

The question is which is more addictive to Donald, wealth or power. Or perhaps which he would protect first.

Neither. He wants fame. It's all about his ego.

Good point. He could be moving to the harder stuff. From the norco pills of fame to the fentanyl patch of power.

Fentanyl is good, especially if you have cancer, or are having unpleasant surgical procedures.

Fentanyl was great during my colonoscopy. I smiled all the way through.

Definitely things better off doing without. 1st one is quite strong acetaminophen and hydrocodone pain pill. The 2nd one is what they give to people who are not being helped by the first. Stage four cancer patients and such. Both are massively addictive.

Americans are being forced to be an audience in his reality tv show.

DAILY QUOTE:
"The NATO charter clearly says that any attack on a NATO member shall be treated, by all members, as an attack against all. So that means that, if we attack Greenland, we'll be obligated to go to war against ... ourselves! Gee, that's scary. You really don't want to go to war with the United States. They're insane!"
