Which is clearly how many people accepted it: Russia thrown out of decision process, hurray, hurray, it's a holi- holiday.
Within a year from it, Germany invaded Poland...
Were there whistleblowers?
For sure, there were some. In France and UK, and even in Poland, too.
They were in a very, very limited numbers and there was too little steam in their whistles. These whistleblowers were way too inimportant and the public opinion was strongly against their offer.
Somehow it all turned around in two years - which brings us to the issue of what impact a single human being can make.
