Remember when these quotes were given by the gods of anarcho-capitalism?

"How about everybody?" Hannity interrupted. Apparently, his own multi-millionaire salary is not enough for him.

"That doesn’t seem to be helping the economy very much…because things aren’t going so well," Colmes said.

"It is, Alan. The economy is phenomenal. Where have you been living?"-Sean Hannity on how great the economy was.

And from Phil Gramm:

“We have sort of become a nation of whiners,” he said. “You just hear this constant whining, complaining about a loss of competitiveness, America in decline” despite a major export boom that is the primary reason that growth continues in the economy, he said.

“We’ve never been more dominant; we’ve never had more natural advantages than we have today,” he said. “We have benefited greatly” from the globalization of the economy in the last 30 years.

If ya'll couldn't see things were getting in the shitter even in October of 2008, you don't deserve to speak on the national stage.

So...Republicans, mind telling me why we should trust you on the economy now?

I don't like talking about economics because I'm not very knowledgeable but I thought that are export rate was pathetically low. Are we even exporting any products anymore? Or are we just sending out raw material so that other people can do it for us? You know so they can build cheap products for all our jobless Americans on unemployment.

When ever I hear about trade I just get scared. People talk about how the jobs lost in sending factories out of the US are offset by the jobs created. I'd really like to see some numbers on that. I mean how many fucking middle men can you have?

Neither of those people you quote is even remotely ancap.

Hannity: bilious gasbag neocon shill Rush wannabe. (Not that Limbaugh is anything to wannabe)

Phil Gramm: career politician. 'nuff said.

The real ancaps saw this coming long ago. I suggest you spend a little time reading the archives at mises.org (http://mises.org/articles.aspx) or perhaps a little Robert Higgs (http://www.independent.org/blog/?p=2871). If you want to dispute anarchocapitalism you should start with the people who actually espouse it.

Sean Hannity is a radio/TV talk show host. He is not "the voice" of the republican party.

There was list of Republicans warning about the crisis we are in now since 2003. Why it fell on deaf ears is beyond me. But those are the "republican voices" I personally listen to. Not Rush or Sean.

Hannity said that in October of 2008?

That's some serious butt hurt, there.

Feeling blue about Obama's horrid fumbling of the economy?

Oops, forgot to kick you while you were down and note that the Hannity quote is from January of 2008 and the Gramm quote is from July of 2008.

So what was that about accuracy and trust? :D

The economy is not as important as a black man being arrested and released.

"Major export boom"? wat

“We’ve never been more dominant; we’ve never had more natural advantages than we have today,” he said. “We have benefited greatly” from the globalization of the economy in the last 30 years.

"Never had more natural advantages"?

"Benefited greatly from economic globalization"?

Why does everything this man has said sound completely inaccurate?

Exports actually did grow in the mid-to-late 2008, due to the decline in the dollar that made our goods more competitive. This same decline helped contribute to the price of gas in 2008, but hey, you win some you lose some.

Referring to that growth as a "major export boom," is like calling a hyundai a ferrari. Do not want. I think he may have misquoted China's export statistics. Most all "America is still dominant" propaganda is figurative language intended to allow people to sleep better at night. Its not real. Its... propaganda!
