"Theoretically" implies that somewhere out there is an equivalent to Einstein's Zur Quantentheorie der Strahlung for Sophia's constant references to "neural wave machines". But it has been at least a year and half since she told me flat out that her "sources have not been published yet" even though here she is outright saying there are military engineers who have been "handed the task of devising an electronic gadget with the capacity to alter the thought patterns of a target individual."

So rather than such a device being theoretical at this point, I'd say the more apt terms of art are "hokum", "balderdash" and "bull plop".
