So The Mercatus, a right-wing think tank, has declared North Dakota -- which recently passed an incredibly restrictive anti-abortion law, one of the free-est of all the fifty states

Once again, we see that when right wing libertarians use the word "liberty," they're using their own extra-special definition of it. As Salon has pointed out reproductive freedom apparently isn't even entered into the calculations,

Women, you see, just don't count.

Except that no such animals exist. Military dictators do kidnap, torture, and murder their opponents as they cannot build a power base otherwise. Democratically elected leaders seldom have necessity to resort to that. So if we're comparing sasquatch to King Kong.....

You mistaking me for someone else, kemosabe? I mean if we're going to bookmark comments, I could point out your agreeing with my definition of democracy several years ago and even holding it up as a model others should emulate, as opposed to here, where you're right in the dirty tactics of misrepresenting what others say knowingly in bad faith in spite of your own past comments. Y'see, unlike most people on the Internet I tend to remember things (albeit my memory is just as unreliable as others).

You seem, too, to have forgotten every. single. MOTHERFUCKING. comment. I've. made. where. I. say. that. morality. is. determined. by. might. That is not the Philosopher King approach. If referring to the real world in that way was above your intellectual pay grade, I do duly apologize for overestimating your intelligence.

Not at all.

I'm just reading the above an thinking about the various instances where in you've gotten your panties in a twist over things like lynchings, landmines, and cyber-warfare. I'm also remembering the conversation we had about checks and balances and government monopolies on technology and/or force a year or two back.

Long story short, I don't think you really believe what you've just said. If you do, I don't think haven't truly grokked the implications.

So how do apples connect to seaweed? Just because I think reality *is* that way does not mean that I think it *should* be that way. There is a difference between reality as it is and reality as I want it to be. The difference between the two of us is that I'm mature enough to understand that. Seldom, if ever, do I see libertarians acknowledging it. You want to force reality to be what you think it should be, I know what it is, and wish it were something different and object to some things on the basis of what I wish it were, and to others by noting what it actually is.

The only inconsistency and bad faith here is from the manchild who can't bother with reading what the hell other people actually say, because that would require the so-called geniuses of the Internet to put their money where their mouth is.

Because either morality is derived from might or it isn't.

If it is, but you think that the world should be different, clearly you have an alternative in mind, the question is what?
