So The Mercatus, a right-wing think tank, has declared North Dakota -- which recently passed an incredibly restrictive anti-abortion law, one of the free-est of all the fifty states
Once again, we see that when right wing libertarians use the word "liberty," they're using their own extra-special definition of it. As Salon has pointed out reproductive freedom apparently isn't even entered into the calculations,
Women, you see, just don't count.

Date: 30/3/13 13:17 (UTC)Abortion is a human right's issue. No one gets superior rights based on gender.
No one.

Date: 31/3/13 01:40 (UTC)Abortion is a women's rights issue. Men often abandon pregnant partners to deal with abortions on their own. Men have a subservient role in the conversation, and that's the only correct way for it to be.

He: "What do you want to do?"
but then..she typically asks what does the future father will do?
His answer almost always determines the situation leading to HER ultimate decision.
If he says: "I'll marry you and love you forever and raise many children with you." Did he, indeed, have a part in this decision?
If he says: "I can not make this commitment at this time, then the choices is still with her. She just has one fewer option."
You can deny men have no say or influence or 'right' in choosing whether to bring a pregnancy to term. Will the woman ultimately make the decision? Yes, as IT SHOULD BE.
Seriously, fuck all this men bashing. You can call me 'wrong' until the goddamn cows abort their calfs, but it does not change the fact you are not thinking my position through, and are treating this like men are little more than sperm carriers with no say or influence.
You are simply either a female, or have not ever had the opportunity to be a part of such a decision. If you have, then why were you there, if you have no business in this issue?
LOL.

Date: 31/3/13 02:49 (UTC)And you're wrong; I've been in the situation, and, appropriately, I did what my partner wanted me to do, and did not attempt to influence her decision in any way, shape or form.
Abortion rights are a woman's issue. Period.
must be the full moon
Date: 31/3/13 03:04 (UTC)Why can't you accept the possibility that you may be wrong? Why are you so intently insistent, on a Saturday night, that I lockstep with your position?
Better yet, why is it so important that I must agree with your opinion 100% (because we agree on 98% of the reproductive rights issue?)
Damn..pushy liberals, indeed. Let it GO, dude!

deal with it.

Date: 31/3/13 03:22 (UTC)I'm not going to let it go till you admit that you're wrong. Because it's important that people who are wrong about how critical abortion rights are for women recognize that they're wrong.

Date: 31/3/13 10:17 (UTC)Of course it's an opinion. And that opinion makes it easy for males to abandon the pregnant partner in the first place.
