Friday Fun: Offsets
10/8/12 07:52
Someone had a fun idea on the internet this week: Chicken Offsets!
Hi! I'm Ted Frank and I love the chicken sandwiches at Chick-fil-A. But I also like my gay-married friends and don't like the guilt of indirectly supporting Chick-fil-A's stance on gay rights. And I know there are lots of other people in the same boat. So I've started ChickenOffset.com. Every time you buy a chicken-sandwich meal at Chick-fil-A, you can buy an "offset" here. You can print out the receipt and demonstrate to your friends that the money you gave for LGBT youth more than compensates for the profits you put in Chick-fil-A's coffers.
What would you like to have offsets for?

Date: 11/8/12 02:59 (UTC)In the context of an ontological argument, a diety is offered as a solution to a problem... that being the existence of the universe. Dawkin's point is that such an offering is pointless, and circular unless there is some compelling proof for the deity independent of the ontological question.
Not believing in things without adequate justification is not close mindedness.

Date: 14/8/12 16:43 (UTC)It may be verified or disproven by research.
Hence, its perfectly valid despite Dawkin's and others attempt to muddle and twist the issue to suit their own atheistic belief system.
