Here we are again, my fellows, for the next installment of the insanely overhyped and superbly boring series of ridiculously hyperbolized hypothetical situations, inspired by the [Poll #1858408]

You wouldn't have expected that the possible choices given would be any less polarized, wouldya??

I decided to punish the Olympics for not including chess... by actually voting for Mr Nyeh.

I find myself in more agreement with Grouch. I see the Olympics is an icon of the social divide. The Olympics raises rents so the people living in a city can't live there anymore, it shuts down businesses, it rides roughshod over native people's rights (Vancouver Olympics) and for what? So ultra-rich people can go to an event that the average person can't even dream of buying tickets for. They're not even allowed near Olympics symbols. What's more, they equate being able to buy the rights to using the Olympics in advertising to the lifelong dedication the athletes have put forward to compete in them.

I say they're a sorry display of excess and power. I wouldn't care if there were never another one, except I would feel for the athletes.

The athletes have their golden leagues and all those annual competitions where they earn actual money for their achievements.

I don't see where that has anything to do with, either for or against, my argument.

I have nothing against people working really hard at something and reaping the benefits as long as they don't hurt other people in the process. It's when they start interfering with other people's lives and livelihoods when I draw the line.

Curiously, Cheney sounds very much like the word for "jaw" that we have here.

There are countless people who would like to sock him right in the jaw.

This was a no-brainer for me. Sir Grouchy might as well be my middle name!

How about Jane Hahrdtat: "This is all about showing the galaxy that despite the Tea Party poopers, we really can do it."

DAILY QUOTE:
"The NATO charter clearly says that any attack on a NATO member shall be treated, by all members, as an attack against all. So that means that, if we attack Greenland, we'll be obligated to go to war against ... ourselves! Gee, that's scary. You really don't want to go to war with the United States. They're insane!"
