OK I'll be the first to drink the Kool-Aid.

Clearly the best thing to happen is for Zimmerman to be charged. Mob rule is clamoring for this guy's ass. A court of law will make this as clear as the OJ case that Zimmerman's son, er, well..whatever.

Time to go to trial or is he clearly within the SYG law?

Will a jury trial be bigger circus than OJ, now that there is a real internet in place?

If you were on the jury and you know know what you have heard, would you vote to convict?

Why or why not?

ETA: yup! Pretty much sums it up

I will admit I am not terribly familiar with American self-defense laws. Do they apply if you pursued the other person and initiated conflict?

In general no, if you are the aggressor you are not entitles to a Self Defense claim, however it is not immediately clear or likely provable beyond a reasonable doubt that Zimmerman was the aggressor in this case for reasons I listed in comments above.

DAILY QUOTE:
"The NATO charter clearly says that any attack on a NATO member shall be treated, by all members, as an attack against all. So that means that, if we attack Greenland, we'll be obligated to go to war against ... ourselves! Gee, that's scary. You really don't want to go to war with the United States. They're insane!"
