Hi again,

I got an impression on the post "New Generation of Russians "

Here's how I see the picture:

Somewhere on an unknown forum.
(passenger from Titanic): "hey guys! I can see lots of talks here on the Cruise Liner elections – that’s good. BTW we here – on Titanic – already passed through the elections. You know the results.
I heard there's a leak on this ship. First class passengers act strange. I've seen tickets for another ships in their hands. I think our ship is sinking, and Captain is taking care only of himself and First Class passengers. I don't see anything is done to take care of Second Class or Third Class... We're here in Second Class are only 5% of total passengers on board. I don't think anyone hear our voice here... We’re suffocating. Don’t have any tools or options to debate with the Captain. Don’t have any chance to do own Second Class life.
Even though we’re optimists and would love to build our future here on Titanic. But the real story of life tells us no chance. There was a guy who worked hard and had bright mind – he developed his own business here, he did not care about politics and stuff. He just did his job well – and he had elevated from Third Class to First Class passenger. It was a dream and success story for all of us here in Second Class. But what’s happened – is the Captain and the Crew members just squesed him out of the ship. He accidentally saved himself by flying on helicopter to another ship, leaving al his business here. They don’t want any competitors and success stories here… That’s what make us sad and suffocating…
all we want is that the ship to be maintained well, the leak to be sealed, and we are to be sure about our future.
But the ship is sinking, guys! I’m telling you it is sinking! "

(another passenger from the Titanic): “Delusions. On all counts.”

(passenger from other ship): “I think I know exactly what you're talking about. There are lots of Second Class passengers from the Titanic here – buying cabins here. These are definitely not oligarchs. It’s hard-working open-minded people who are feeling suffocated within their closed society… Some even choose to stay here. It is both sad and encouraging to watch this process, but it gives a certain hope for change.”

(passenger from Carpathia): "The post is basically nonsence. I think you're exaggerating the threat. I've seen Titanic last winter on the TV - and it made very good impression on me. It is very durable ship and was developing very good! You shouldn't worry. You self-proclaimed Second Class passengers – you consist of young people without special skills to afford First Class ride. You simply look stupid. You blame your lack of success on your Captain"

(the guy from the coast): "hey, I left Titanic 20 years ago, but I do know that Second Class passengers on Titanic do have lots of opportunities to choose their way. There are plenty of tickets to another ships, all you need is someone who would invite you to join another ship.”

(passenger from Titanic): “I understand your opinions. Thank you for sharing. What I wanted to say is that we simply wish basic things – that the Crew wouldn’t ignore us, and simply treat us with little respect. And the rumors of the ship is sinking are felt to be true. My grandma is in Third Class cabin riding knee-high in the water. Our parents who worked hard all their life – got rerouted to the Third Class cabins with no means to survive. They’re also knee-high in the ocean water… The Crew and the Captain ignore that.”

(another passenger from Carpathia): “you should enjoy the benefits of industrial capitalism there on Titanic! Are you blind about the problems we have here on Carpathia?! We fight here with Monopolies! The inequality is rising! Second Class passengers are only 40% of total population! We got huge number of cabin-less passengers here!”

(Captain of Titanic to all): "Everything is under control. I'm glad 65% of the passengers had voted for me - to continue our current course. We’re in the middle of Atlantic, and we will reach New York right on time as planned. We also plan to colonize Mars by 2025."

No offense.

Not a bad effort, actually. :)

As I am not Russian nor in Russia, any attempt by me to tell Russians to do this or that thing for their situation is strongly veering into arrogance, so I do not want to overstep that. Ultimately it seems that it is those directly affected by the conditions and situation in Russia who get to decide how their problems are dealt with, not any of us on the outside, though some of us are happy to help when invited. That said...

Since the (another passenger from Carpathia): “you should enjoy the benefits of industrial capitalism there on Titanic! Are you blind about the problems we have here on Carpathia?! bit seems to reference my comment, I just wanted to clear up a possible mistake, in that I was never advocating industrial capitalism be transplanted onto the "Titanic" but to warn them to avoid making the same mistakes "Carpathia" already did and is now paying for in its own ways.

Also for fun, you forgot the

second passenger from Titantic: Hey wait a minute! There's more of us in Second and Third Class combined than there are in First Class! Let's force our way in, depose the Captain and take control of the ship to steer it on our own course, out of these treacherous waters! What gives him the right to determine where we sail in opposition to our desires? If we all work together, there's no way they can stop us. Who's with me?"

Oh none taken at all. I enjoyed reading. It was a clever way to explain your thoughts.

A passanger's role is "a little bit" passive, isn't it? Who serves at this Titanic? Or built it? Picture is not quite complete.

Moreover, please, do not take as offence too, it were not Russian engineers, who built Titanic.

That's the thing with metaphors - they have their limits. ;-)

Surely. But when the picture is not complete it is not ... living, worthy to pay attention to.

I pointed that out by passive position of a passanger. Nobody lives all his life as a passanger, really. May be some invalids only.

There's assumptions in the analogy that if assumed another way undercut the story completely.

Well, I liked this video about Russian elections much more :)http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qDt9QzgfGGs&feature=player_embedded

German did it well :) The situation the same, almost. And what is sanificant for me, is at the very end -

So, German authorities will now stop to work with not legitime Russian leaders - and hahahahaha.

These guys, who made film, understand well, that not legitime power in Russia will not be possible without traitors in Germany, the USA, etc.

Fine, I liked it. :)

But, in German with Russian subtitles.

Yeah, Germans great :)

Mostly because they understand clearly, they are in the same situation. :)

English subtitles there. Very uncultural, really, I think this one is prepared by some fro Berezovsky? or something, or this, you know, sufferer Chodorkovsky.

This is not banned, but you will not see such things on TV.

"The NATO charter clearly says that any attack on a NATO member shall be treated, by all members, as an attack against all. So that means that, if we attack Greenland, we'll be obligated to go to war against ... ourselves! Gee, that's scary. You really don't want to go to war with the United States. They're insane!"
