We saw several of those vases at the Akropolis Museum. They are stunning in person. And of course you can get cheap reproductions at every tourist shop. The cheaper they are the brighter the orange glaze gets. Some were almost fluorescent.
Very rich and very beautiful language, not easy at all, especially for a non-Slavonic guy, but it's totally worth it.
I think even most Swedes don't realise how beautiful their language is. It's nothing like the other hugen-flugen Nordic langs, it has a melody and finesse.
No offense to Spanish lovers (and they are many), but out of all Romance langs, Português is like poetry to the ear.
Ones I'd love to speak one day:
It may sound like a hissing snake at times, but it's fascinating in its uniqueness and richness.
Yeah I know, it sounds outlandish, and looks even more extraterrestrial on paper (papyrus?) But it's like music - melody and tone is essential.
Been trying to figure out those clicks for a few years now. I promise I will, eventually!
"The NATO charter clearly says that any attack on a NATO member shall be treated, by all members, as an attack against all. So that means that, if we attack Greenland, we'll be obligated to go to war against ... ourselves! Gee, that's scary. You really don't want to go to war with the United States. They're insane!"
