In honor of conspiracy month here, I post the greatest thing I've seen... All year.

Maddow does a great recap of the Herman Cain campaign.

I'm ... completely baffled. I think there is a conspiracy going on here. Not the "gunman on the grassy knoll" type of conspiracy. More like the Casey Affleck/Joaquin Phoenix kind of conspiracy. I think we're seeing someone at the Koch brothers, or perhaps at the Cain campaign trying to do something... But what? In truth, it feels more like a screwed up viral marketing Alternative Reality Game campaign. I'm waiting to see what happens next.

I haven't been this thrilled since they decoded the noise from Portal 2's ARG.

I think Herman Cain is like Meg Whitman who ran for California governor. She had all kinds of business/leadership success and tons of money to throw at the campaign but failed. Mainly from failing to realize that politics isn't like being charge of a business where you can tell people you're not going to talk about something and then it never comes up again.

I could see Romney making Cain his VP candidate, though. Assuming the crazy gaffes and weird campaign ads aren't a trend.

She didn't get all of it even: as Stephen Colbert noted, his theme song is "I am America" the title of his satirical bestselling book.

The week after he criticized Perry for being racially insensitive, he makes a joke about killing Mexicans.

Cain's campaign is a massive joke, a publicity stunt to drum up business for his failing speaking circuit--and somehow, it caught fire while nobody was looking. Now, Cain, who was originally in on the joke, believes his own bullshit.

Really, the GOP seems like it can't have anyone who is either A) somewhat consistent or B) not a character of frickin` Looney-Toons.

I was going to say Ron Paul or Gary Johnson; Huntsman is going after the Liberal Republican that just no longer exists. I haven't really paid attention to him, honestly, though I'm certain he's more tolerable than Bachmann, Gringich, Cain, and Santorum put together.

And on that note...why the hell is Santorum still running anyways?

Santorum is there to make the others look less crazy.

And yet he's still raising Cain.

I still hope...

My money is still on Newt Gingrich. There is nothing like a dark horse with a lame leg.

DAILY QUOTE:
"The NATO charter clearly says that any attack on a NATO member shall be treated, by all members, as an attack against all. So that means that, if we attack Greenland, we'll be obligated to go to war against ... ourselves! Gee, that's scary. You really don't want to go to war with the United States. They're insane!"
