Anything and everything ever written by one Jack Chick. In this twisted, bizarre alternate Universe, Satan works through the Catholic Church, and it's the Catholic Church that invented Islam, Communism, and Nazism. Everybody bad looks like Julius Streicher's drawing when he was on a drunken bender, nobody has necks, oh, and Jesus is a faceless guy on a throne who is a literal magical creature you can use woo-woo with to do Jesus-magic. Not to mention that pedophilia is OK when you repent and say Jesus forgives you, while Peter and Stewie Griffin are agents of The CorruptionTM.

The guy's the patron saint of all that's wrong with fundamentalism and the problem is not that he writes or anything like that, he's free to do so. It's all the people dumb enough to believe he's right about anything that's the problem.

And there are tracts. TRACTS! I find these in the grocery store every once in a while and throw them away. WTF is this ridiculousness? Is this guy as wacky as Harold Camping?

Those tracts are pretty crazy. I think our local holy-roller church gives them out. Nice people, except one of them (who knows my grandfather) asked if she wanted us to take a picture of all of us with my grandmother...at my grandmother's funeral! I told her it was probably a bad time and just walked away...

Yeah, Camping's nuts, but at least he's not also a terrible person. Chick's tracts are all about how if you don't accept God, you're going to go to hell and be tortured. It's what I call the mob-protection argument for God ("This is a very nice soul you got here. Don't you agree, Lucifer?" --"Very nice, boss." --"Yeah, it'd be a shame if, y'know... something happened to it.") Camping at least believes that if you're not Saved, you just cease to exist after dying painlessly during the Rapture. Or at least that's what he said after the May date failed.

That's interesting, that's probably one of the more religiously accurate ones I've seen. Sure, the characters are caricatures and the situation is very unrealistic, but the religion part is actually correct, unlike most of his tracts I've seen before.

Back in the early 70s he had some really good tracts (if one happens to like tracts) and the art work was pretty good. I remember not seeing any for the longest time and then finding one in the 80s and going what the heck?
The really "good" anti-catholicism stuff came from Tony Alamo...maybe they hooked up.
