Is it still a pocket knife if it doesn't fit in your pocket?

The plantarium is MUCH cheaper at Amazon:

I'm almost sure to impulse-buy this in the next 10 minutes.

I like retro geeky things, and in a big way. I have 2 Nixie clocks in my collection so far, and I love them. If you're a tinker, you can get kits online and make them pretty cheaply. My favorite one so far is one with LED colored lights that you can adjust.

Ah yes...in spite of never having actually ordered anything from there, I have had a huge wish list for years. Right now, I need things like:

Like/dislike stamps (http://www.thinkgeek.com/geektoys/cubegoodies/e5f5/)

Every editor needs these! It would make my job so much easier!

Image

Bullet-proof clipboard (http://www.thinkgeek.com/homeoffice/supplies/e769/)

...for those really edgy faculty publications committee meetings.

There are a bunch of cool knitter's sites out there (I'm not a knitter myself, but I know a few), and some of those are hosted by complete uber geeks. They knit complete sets of Lovecraftian monsters and gods, including Cthulu and tons of other geeky stuff from scifi and science.

Just a few (http://www.threadbanger.com/post/433/the-top-10-geekiest-yarn-creations-on-t) examples (http://whipup.net/2010/08/15/your-ultimate-guide-to-geek-crochet-knit-online-patterns/)

How about...

Here's (http://sophiasadek.blogspot.com/2011/09/beer-throwing-fridge.html) a great idea for a beer launching fridge.

DAILY QUOTE:
"The NATO charter clearly says that any attack on a NATO member shall be treated, by all members, as an attack against all. So that means that, if we attack Greenland, we'll be obligated to go to war against ... ourselves! Gee, that's scary. You really don't want to go to war with the United States. They're insane!"
