The reason people have to specifically request a voter I.D. card instead of the DMV employees asking them is because it's part of the requirement to get one.

I don't see anything in that law saying that DMV employees shouldn't make sure people know they can request it for the purpose of voting. I do see the law saying the person has to request that the want the specific one, as opposed to getting it automatically.

They're not opposites.
