I agree, but only if we can embrace more fail-safe reactors.
Nuclear is already incredibly safe. This is exactly the sort of roadblock I'm talking about - it's the safest energy available, and yet it's still not "safe enough."
Which is why we are currently incentivizing not "the wrong things" but what's available.
We should cease incentivizing "what's available" in favor of research into possible replacements. Every dollar we waste on solar is money better used to develop something worthwhile.
