Whether or not money is, objectively speaking, the root of political evil is a separate issue. But, assuming it is true, for the sake of argument, don't you see the dissonance? "Only the most flagrant money grubber can save us from the evils of money grubbing." It is like someone in Weimar Germany saying, "This fascism thing is really becoming the most troublesome feature of our political system. Herr Hitler is our only hope for rectifying it!"
