Bruce, I like you but you have to realise... It does logically follow. As much as there's a phenomenologically identifiable self, that self does co-exist in proximity with others and sometimes an action which appears to be entirely self-regarding is actually other-regarding as well.
You don't have to give up your principles of supporting individual liberty to acknowledge this.
