You can't say the market can't regulate because there's only 5 major producers when the reason why there's only 5 is it's more profitable to become a megacorp because gov't regulations squeeze out the smaller guys.
Right now, you're probably not aware that trucking is being consolidated into a few major players. Why? Because they're lobbying for regulation that will cost smaller vendors a ton of money and are thus forced out of the game.
So we end up with fewer choices with lower quality all so big gov't folks can complain about the problems they created.
