"Since he made his fortune through such malicious practices why don't they seize his property?" That's a bit extreme even for my taste. What I would like to see happen (have wanted to see happen for a while, in fact) is for News Corp. to get broken up. Along with every other news conglomerate and media conglomerate with a news division.
