One of the things that I noticed early in life is that if I stare out of a bus window at someone, they turn to look right at me. Sometimes I get a sense that there is something in a particular direction and when I turn to look, there is someone staring at me from that direction. This "God spot" part of the brain may serve the purpose of detecting an approaching predator.
