[identity profile] blue-mangos.livejournal.com posting in [community profile] talkpolitics
AKA, the most thinly veiled excuse for a post ever. But it's Friday so I'm going for it.

After the recent thrashing the Liberal Party of Canada took in the election, falling to just 33 seats in Parliament, Michael Ignatieff stepped down as party leader. Of the names being bandied about for the open spot is Justin Trudeau. Yes, for those of you aware of Canadian politics, he is that Trudeau, son of Pierre Trudeau, arguably Canada's favourite politician and most definitely our most awesome (the man did a pirouette behind the Queen's back and tried to paddle a home made canoe from Florida to visit Castro. Not to mention - Just watch me.)

With the Liberals so thoroughly defeated in Parliament and in the eyes of the Canadian public, many see Justin Trudeau as the only hope to return the party to it's former glory, at least the only way to do so quickly. It may be cheap sensationalism, banking on his name and looks but I am all for it. We need a strong centrist party, especially if we want any chance of removing the Conservatives from power in the next election.

Hopefully that is enough commentary for the mods to let this stand, because I would like to get on to the true purpose of this post, eye candy. Let me introduce our future PMILF:

Mmmmm, I'd vote the shit out of this man

Large hands. This bodes well for his future in my bedroom politics

Such passion. sigh

He is on a bed. Need I say more?

Good thing that people don't vote based on looks.

I actually knew someone back in the 80's who voted for Walter Mondale over Reagan because she thought Mondale was hot.

I know. I mean I can understand someone voting for Obama or Clinton (Bill, not Hillary) because of their looks. Maybe even Kerry. But Walter Mondale?

If Justin is anything like his dad, then he's no stranger to a great party. Heck, it'd be pool party at 24 Sussex Dr, with "busty hookers" and cocaine. It's the pool his dad had jnstalled. Besides Helena gets the coke off "busty hookers".

Lol. The good old ElMo was the first bar I ever got into underage. I saw the Shuffle Demons (sHuFFle dEMoNs), drank several pitchers of Canadian, broke up with my girlfriend, then stubled home in the early morning with my best friend.

I would have loved to have been there in 195? to see Marilyn Monroe perform at the ElMocombo. That beats Maggie Trudeau giving head to Mick and Keith there.

The "Just Watch Me" clip (http://archives.cbc.ca/war_conflict/civil_unrest/clips/610/). The first journalist got pwnd by Trudeau, that was magic to watch :)

Definitely enough commentary, that first paragraph has spawned enough links to help me procrastinate for nigh on 30 minutes!

"The NATO charter clearly says that any attack on a NATO member shall be treated, by all members, as an attack against all. So that means that, if we attack Greenland, we'll be obligated to go to war against ... ourselves! Gee, that's scary. You really don't want to go to war with the United States. They're insane!"
