Now you expected the US to act like the cowboy and go it alone? You think all of the countries would have held together if the mission changed from expelling Saddam from Kuwait, to supporting a coup? They didn't seem so inclined later, did they?

What is happening in Lybia happens a lot more frequntly all over the world than this. Are we supposed to play good cop/bad cop for each one? If not, how is it you would decide which peoples are worth saving, and whose are not?
And despite being a UN sanctioned action, the US inevitably ends up being the one required to be the enforcer wiith the largest presence.
