Well, if you'd ever seen the debates on fascism and communism on this forum: http://www.alternatehistory.com/discussion/index.php you'd understand why. The main people who push the "Stalin was wurst diktatur evur" mindset tend to be more than a little sympathetic to his rival, and that forum has endless PODs that amount to "how can Hitler best kill all the Slavs" when there aren't PODs of "how can Roman Emperor Woocheechoo kill off all the Muslins".

I can take only so much of that before it *does* become a red flag.
