Well. More than anything it's neurochemical. There have been a few people in his life that make him calmer when he is around them. He says that he perceives it almost like feeling happy. I am one of those few people. His wife is another. We used to be lovers. He says that the few people he's met in his life that make him feel that way all smelled the same, so he thinks it's neurochemical.

As far as our friendship... it is a very interesting thing. Certainly an experience like no other I've ever had. I know that I am one of the few people he is willing to go out of his way to help or do things for. He sees other people like furniture or television, to manipulate as he so chooses or to destroy if he so chooses.

He actually puts my feelings ahead of his, which is a sign of how much he actually enjoys having me around. It is still more of a selfish, calculated thing. He does nice things for me so I will stay near him and give him what he wants. He is not selfless. And I never forget that, ever. I never give his actions the benefit of the doubt, because he told me not to.

It is a very interesting friendship at any rate. I can't help but love him. :)
